Terrence Ross hires agent, will enter NBA draft

As expected, Husky sophomore shooting guard Terrence Ross will forego his final two seasons at Washington and enter the upcoming NBA draft. Ross has even hired an agent.

From the press release ...

"I discussed the pros and the cons with my family and I just think this is a great step for me and it's time for me to take my game to the next level," Ross said about his decision.

"Being at Washington and playing for Coach (Lorenzo) Romar has been a blessing," Ross continued. "On the court, off the court, with school and in life...it's just been a real blessing to consider myself a Husky and get to where I am right now."Ross earned Pac-12 first-team all-conference honors for the Huskies this season. He averaged 16.4 points  and 6.4 rebounds per game, while shooting 45.7 percent from the field and 37.1 from three-point range.

Ross is projected to be a mid-first round pick by most draft analysts. ESPN's Chad Ford has Ross going 19th the Sixers in his most recent mock draft. Meanwhile  NBA draft express has Ross going 18th to the Celtics.

"We wish Terrence the best," UW head coach Lorenzo Romar said from New Orleans. "He was refreshing to coach because of his humility and team-first attitude. We wish him well and anticipate that he will have an excellent NBA career."
