A few notes from CenturyLink Field and Jake Locker's return to Seattle

Jake Locker returned to Seattle with the Tennessee Titans in a preseason game. Since I had to help out with Seahawks stuff, I took a little video of his press conference.

Locker completed 7-of-12 passes for 80 yards. He looked pretty solid in the pocket, much more comfortable than he had in the past.

He said that he got a text from Husky coach Steve Sarkisian telling him they'd be at the game. The Huskies had prime seats at the 50 yard line of the lower bowl behind the Titans bench.

"He had a nice drive before the half ended," Tennessee head coach Mike Munchak said. "He gave us a chance there to get points and make some plays. We'll watch the tape and see more of exactly what he saw and what he may have missed. But overall he handled himself well in the pocket. Again it's only 20 plays."

Locker is vying for the starting job with Matt Hasselbeck.

"As the season progressed, we thought Jake was progressing all along," Munchak said. "Tha'ts why there is a competition. If he didn't close the gap, there wouldn't be a competition and Matt would be starting."

I also caught up with Devin Aguilar for a few minutes after the game.  Aguilar had one catch for 12 yards. And he did have a very nice tackle on special teams. When I told him I didn't know he could tackle like that, he replied .... "I didn't know I could either"

Aguilar talked to a few UW players before the game and knew they were in there.

"That is so good knowing they are there to support you," Aguilar said. "I wish I would put on more of a show."
