News, notes and quotes from Sarkisian's press conference

Just finished up here with Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian. Some news and notes to pass along:

> Sarkisian said defensive lineman Pio Vatuvei is probably done for the season. He did not specify Vatuvei's injury.

> Sarkisian also said that they will have to re-evaluate Desmond Trufant as the week goes along. "We'll see. Anytime you're dealing with a hamstring ... It's not the severity where I can come out and say he's out for the next two weeks. But it's enough that it bothers him. Hopefully we can get him more healthy this week than he was going into the game last week."

> LB Princeton Fuimaono will also be out a couple weeks, according to Sarkisian. Sounds like he could be back for a bowl game.

> Sarkisian said Austin Seferian-Jenkins will, at times, continue to play at defensive end. Seferian-Jenkins played linebacker and corner at Gig Harbor. Sarkisian said he's not worried about the injury risk because that would be akin to playing to lose. Seferian-Jenkins was also named a semifinalist for the John Mackey Award, which goes to the country's best tight end.

> Sarkisian said they are also assessing if Shaq Thompson will remain a linebacker going forward. They'll take a harder look at it when the season is over, and will need to determine his spot as much for future recruiting purposes as anything.

> Talia Critchon also didn't play last week. Sarkisian did not elaborate on his injury status.

> Sarkisian continued to say he's seeing better stuff from Keith Price as the weeks go by here. He said last week was the best decision-making week Price has had.

> He also said he hasn't looked at possible bowl scenarios and was adamant that the team had to stay focused on 1-8 Colorado this week.
