Washington loses to Albany 63-62

About to get started here at Hec Ed with Washington and Albany. We'll be posting some updates:

Just about everything that could go wrong, went wrong. Washington loses to Albany, a loss that everyone will point at all season, especially if Washington ends up in consideration for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Albany's Mike Black scored on a layup with 3.7 seconds left for the winning hoop.

> Washington has played poorly all night, but leads 60-58 with 1:00 left. A must-win or a game that will haunt it all year.

> N'Diaye already with another double-double. He has 13 points and 11 rebounds. Again, Washington in huge trouble if he can't keep this up.

> Washington having problems once Albany switches to zone. Still up 48-43 with 9:14 left in the game.

> Washington on a 13-4 run to start the second half and takes a slim 40-35 lead. Much better defense and energy in the half.

> Andrew Andrews and Desmond Simmons start second half for Washington.

> Albany leads 31-27 at the half. If Washington loses, this would be a horrendous early season loss for it. Nothing working. C.J. Wilcox started 0 for 6 and finished the half 1 for 8. N'Diaye and Jarreau both had foul trouble. Suggs will not return. Simmons has a bandage over his right eye. Washington has eight turnovers and 12 made field goals.

> Simmons has returned to the floor with a bandage over his eye.

> Desmond Simmons is in the lockerroom after getting a cut on his eye and Jernard Jarreau has three fouls. Aziz N'Diaye is playing with two fouls.

> Aziz N'Diaye gets his second foul with 11:29 to go and has to come out.

> Suggs has a concussion and will not return tonight.

> Albany looks exceptionally tired, as would be expected. Have been on the road a long time. Were in Pittsburgh last Saturday, on road since.

> Scott Suggs was just elbowed in the head and helped to the lockerroom. He was very woozy and had a hard time getting up. Two trainers helped him off the floor.
