Naijiel Hale, 4-star CB prospect, tweets that he will play for UW

Speculation had been increasing for a while that Naijiel Hale might not end up at Arizona after he "committed" there in June, and those thoughts wound up being accurate.

Hale, the son of late rapper Nate Dogg (cue the Regulators references), tweeted Saturday morning that he has decommitted from Arizona and will instead play at Washington. The 4-star cornerback prospect gives the Huskies two 4-star recruits in the 2014 class who have said they will sign. He is in Seattle on his official visit this weekend.

Hale played at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, Calif., the same school former UW quarterback Keith Price and former safety Will Shamburger played at. His bio lists offers from half of the Pac-12 schools and Nebraska, among others. considers Hale the No. 30 cornerback prospect in the nation.
