Some quick notes from UW Pro Day

Here are some quick nuts-and-bolts notes from Washington's Pro Day, which concluded at Dempsey Indoor a short while ago.

--- With Austin Seferian-Jenkins sidelined by a foot injury and Bishop Sankey letting his NFL scouting combine numbers speak for themselves, quarterback Keith Price was the main attraction. Price threw about 45 or so passes, and completed all but maybe four or five. His most impressive toss was a deep ball to Kevin Smith. Price also just missed on a couple of deep throws, and had a couple of passes dropped. Sankey, Smith, James Johnson, Jonathan Amosa and Antavius Sims were among Price's receivers.

--- Seferian-Jenkins attended and observed. He told reporters afterward that he's hoping to receive total medical clearance on April 26. He said he was surprised to learn that his foot was fractured, and that aside from occasional soreness, it hadn't bothered him or affected his play during the season.

--- Sankey wasn't expecting to do any timed running, but wound up running the 60-yard shuttle because scouts in attendance asked him to. He also did some position work and, obviously, caught passes out of the backfield from Price. Sankey said afterward that proving himself as a pass-catcher was one of his primary goals for Pro Day.

--- Price spoke afterward about not being invited to the NFL combine, saying it's just the latest instance of someone underestimating him, and that he's used it as motivation. Throughout his throwing session, Price wore a hat emblazoned with the words "Don't Doubt Me."

--- More than half of the teams in the NFL were represented -- saw a few estimates of 20 teams in attendance, which sounds about right -- including Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, general manager John Schneider, and a couple of assistants.

--- There were a handful of current UW football players in the crowd, including suspended quarterback Cyler Miles. Coach Chris Petersen and a couple UW assistants were there, too.

--- Other participants in Pro Day: S Sean Parker, LB Thomas Tutogi, K Travis Coons, LB Princeton Fuimaono, DL Sione Potoa'e, DB Tre Watson and FB Dorson Boyce.
