Still no update from Chris Petersen on Cyler Miles, Damore'ea Stringfellow

Chris Petersen was asked again after this morning's practice whether there has been any change to the status of suspended quarterback Cyler Miles or receiver Damore'ea Stringfellow.

His answer, again: No.

"Same as it’s been from Day 1," Petersen said. "We’ve got two quarterbacks out here, they’re competing their tails off and there’s no change with Cyler right now.”

Miles and Stringfellow were allegedly involved in a Feb. 2 incident in the University District that resulted in three misdemeanor charges being filed against Stringfellow. Miles was not charged.

Petersen was asked (again) if Miles is still with the team, replying that "right now, he's not."

Asked if he feels the need to make some sort of statement, Petersen said: "We’re always going to do the right thing by our program. I’ve said that from the start. We’re handling it internally and we’ll do the right thing, always – by our team, by the university and what’s right by our players."

Petersen said he hasn't set a timetable for making a decision on the status of either Miles or Stringfellow.

Asked if it's safe to assume that UW's starting quarterback will be either Troy Williams or Jeff Lindquist -- the only two quarterbacks practicing this spring -- Petersen said: "We’ll answer all those questions here down the road for you guys. I don’t want to go off and just answer partial this, that, when we really haven’t set everything with that. When I get that answer, we’ll answer that for you guys.”
