Pre-draft links: Projecting where Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Bishop Sankey might be selected

With the NFL draft beginning today at 5 p.m., I'll be out in Renton helping with our Seahawks coverage. But the draft is obviously of interest again to Huskies fans, as tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins and running back Bishop Sankey -- both of whom left Washington after their junior season -- are each projected to be selected.

Seferian-Jenkins is thought to have an outside chance of being picked late in the first round, though it won't be surprising if he's not selected until the second day. Sankey will also likely have to wait until Day 2 to hear his name called. Here are a few mock drafts to peruse before the action starts tonight.

--- Rob Rang over at projects Seferian-Jenkins as a late second-round pick to the New England Patriots, writing: "With Rob Gronkowski recovering from ACL surgery, Seferian-Jenkins' size and reliable hands could make him a go-to option for Tom Brady."

Rang projects Sankey to be selected ahead of Seferian-Jenkins, with the 11th pick in the second round. Rang writes: "Tom Coughlin will appreciate Sankey's no-nonsense approach and three-down reliability."

--- Pete Prisco sees Seferian-Jenkins as an early second-round pick, but doesn't see Sankey being taken in the first two rounds.

--- Seferian-Jenkins is pegged as a first-round pick by three of writers who put together mock drafts.

--- Nate Davis of USA Today predicts Seferian-Jenkins will be a late second-round pick, with Sankey being selected two picks ahead of him.

--- This mock draft from the San Jose Mercury News has Seferian-Jenkins going to New England with the 29th overall pick.

--- In case you missed it last night, we took a quick look at Washington's recent draft history.
