Morning links: Petersen press conference reminder

With the Huskies set to begin preseason camp on Monday, it's also time to crank back up with our in-season morning links post. Today's will be brief, but UW (and the rest of the Pac-12) will be full-go from this week on, meaning our presence on this blog will be, too.

--- First, a reminder that coach Chris Petersen will hold a press conference today at 1 p.m. to preview fall camp. A few players are also expected to attend. We'll pass along any news or notes that result from that.

--- Speaking of Petersen, here's a UW season preview from Athlon's from a couple days ago.

--- The UW Daily has a fall camp primer.

--- Here's an update from KING 5 about former Huskies Darin Harris and Johnny Durocher, who are suing the NCAA on concussion-related grounds.

--- Washington State held its first practice of the season on Saturday afternoon in Lewiston.

--- Arizona also began practicing on Saturday, and the Wildcats are already down a player, as senior safety Tra'Mayne Bondurant has left the team.

--- Oregon State coach Mike Riley remains the dean of Pac-12 coaches.

--- Arizona State running back D.J. Foster is ready to take on the role of being ASU's featured back.

--- Colorado defensive coordinator Kent Baer, a familiar name to Huskies' fans, says the Buffaloes' defense will be better this season.

--- UCLA begins practicing on Monday.

--- Expectations are high for Steve Sarkisian in his first season at USC.

--- This is a few days old, but the Wall Street Journal mentions Sarkisian (and Washington) in an interesting bit about which coaches uttered the most words at their respective media days.

--- California hopes for a healthier 2014 as it begins practices on Monday.
