Update: DE Marcus Farria dismissed for 'violation of team standards'

An updated Washington Huskies roster was distributed to media here a few minutes before coach Chris Petersen's pre-camp press conference, and it includes a notable defection: sophomore defensive end Marcus Farria, who played in six games and registered 2.5 sacks last season as a freshman.

Petersen said during his press conference that Farria was dismissed last week for a "violation of team standards."

Farria had been in the coaches' doghouse to some extent during spring practices, and wasn't made available to media all spring.

New to the roster is 6-foot-5, 220-pound freshman defensive lineman Vita Vea from Milpitas, Calif.
