WR John Ross won't play against Georgia State

No official reason has been given by Washington, but a school spokesperson did confirm that Huskies sophomore receiver John Ross will not play in today's game against Georgia State.

Ross is suited up and going through warmups, so it's probably a safe bet that this isn't a disciplinary action. During warmups, he appeared to be going half-speed or less, so it would make sense to assume he is injured. But, again, that's just speculation based on what we're seeing on the field. No official word from UW. Coach Chris Petersen will presumably address his status after the game.

Ross has six catches for 224 yards and three touchdowns this season, in addition to a 20-yard touchdown run. He's also the Huskies' starting kickoff returner, so expect freshman safety Budda Baker to take his place there.
