Morning links: California is slight favorite over Washington this week

The trusty folks at VegasInsider.com haven't posted lines for this week's college football games as we write this, but California is a 1.5-point favorite over Washington this weekend in the few lines being used so far by ESPN.com.

Cal, by the way, was a 2-point underdog at Washington State on Saturday. Let's get to some links.

--- Do Washington's prospects look better in the Pac-12 now that everyone is losing?

--- WSU's goals are still intact despite its loss to California. QB Connor Halliday called the Cougars' game this week at Stanford a "must win."

--- UCLA's season can still be salvaged, too, despite a loss to Utah.

--- USC will try to avoid a hangover this week after a crushing loss to ASU.

--- A look at the crazy week in the Pac-12 from an Arizona State perspective.

--- Oregon fell to No. 12 in the AP top 25 poll after its loss to Arizona, while the Wildcats debuted in the poll at No. 10.

--- Colorado QB Sefo Liufau is raising the bar.

--- An interesting breakdown of some of the more ridiculous statistics from that WSU-Cal game, with a note that WSU's 812 total yards were the most in NCAA history by a losing team.

--- The Bears are in first place in the Pac-12 North with a defense ranked near the bottom in several statistical categories.
