Recruiting: 2016 QB prospect Daniel Bridge-Gadd commits to Huskies, per report

According to a report from, the Huskies have picked up an oral commitment from 2016 quarterback prospect Daniel Bridge-Gadd.

Bridge-Gadd, who attends Paradise Valley High School in Phoenix, is rated as a 2-star prospect by and a 3-star prospect by Rivals. He took his official visit to UW this past weekend and was in attendance for the Oregon game. He seemed to enjoy it.

Bridge-Gadd, listed at 6-foot-2, 201pounds on his Hudl page, also lists offers from New Mexico State, San Jose State, Tulane, UNLV and others. According to his bio, Washington is the only Power Five conference team to offer him a scholarship.

"It was really awesome," Bridge-Gadd told the Arizona Republic about his visit to UW. "I got to have one-one-one sit down with Coach (Chris) Pete (Petersen) and Coach (Jonathan) Smith (the offensive coordinator). They both said that I bring a different skill set that they don't have currently, and that I would have a fair shot."

He is the 13th known player to commit to the Huskies in the 2016 class. One of those players, Sehome defensive back Taylor Rapp, has already signed a financial-aid agreement and plans to enroll in January.
