At Thomas Jefferson 59, Kent-Meridian 22: Hailey Still’s 14 points led the Raiders over the Royals at home.
Coming up also for the Raiders was Julia Walker scoring 12, and Nadira Eltayeb scoring nine.
The Royals scoring leader was Makayla McIntosh with six points.
At Auburn 46, Mount Rainier 34: The Rams came up just short against the Trojans as Makila Hoffman’s 10 points were not enough to elate her team.
Hoffman was the leading scorer for the Rams, but Jaydin Fazio also put up nine points to try and overtake Auburn. The Trojans got out to a hot start in the first half and didn’t look back.
At Charles Wright Academy 33, Chimacum 25: RubyJoy Pikes and Julia Hanly score more than half of the Tarriers points in their win over the Cowboys.
Both Pikes and Hanly scored 10 points each, and Julia’s older sister Grace chipped in seven. All three players combined outscored the Cowboys.
Mount Rainier Lutheran 43, Klahowya 24: Claire Lyons scored 19 points to pace Mount Rainier Lutheran past Klahowya.
The Hawks built a 10-2 lead after the first quarter and were up 28-9 by halftime in a standout defensive effort.
Boys Basketball
At Charles Wright 49, Chimacum 11: The Tarries cruised to victory over the Cowboys as Dane Jacobson, Michael Tucci and Henry Lenaburg scored in double digits.
Jacobsen was the leading scorer with 14 points, Tucci had 12 and Lenaburg had 11. All three players scored more or equal to the Cowboys’ offensive output for the entire game.
Chimacum’s leading scorer was Jesse Slagle, scoing five points.
