Thursday’s prep track and field highlights: Tahoma relay team lifts Bears over Federal Way

The Tahoma High School boys track and field team’s 4x400 relay squad of Jordan White, Tristan Houser, Graeme Schroeder and Austin Brown lifted the Bears over visiting Federal Way, 74.5-70.5, in a 4A SPSL dual meet.

They finished in 3 minutes, 32.93 seconds to provide the winning points the Bears needed.

Federal Way’s Jared Pulu won the shot put with a throw of 52-feet, 2 inches and Jason Palmer won the 200 in 22.36 seconds. D’Jimon Jones cruised in the high jump with a leap of 6-feet, 8 inches.


Franklin Pierce 76, Steilacoom 73: Meeah Mazikowski ran a 5:45.65 mile to score points for the Sentinels early, but the Cardinals placed first in the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relay races. Lisa Sao won both the shot put and discus events for Franklin Pierce and Cheyenne Basher won the long jump and 100 meter dash.
