Friday’s prep track highlights: Jack Yearian’s 4:20.07 mile helps Bellarmine edge CK

Jack Yearian ran a 4-minute, 20.07 mile and Grant Ogard won the long jump and triple jump on Friday to help the Bellarmine Prep boys track and field team edge Central Kitsap for a a 72-66 road win.

Ogard edged Central Kitsap’s Zion Archer with a mark of 19 feet, 1 inch in the long jump. He beat teammate Bryce Bendixen with a mark of 38-00 in the triple jump.

Central Kitsap’s Hudson Keffer won the javelin with a mark of 206-09.

GIRLS TRACK

Central Kitsap 72, Bellarmine Prep 69: Natalie Root won both te 100 and 300 hurdles events for the Lions but Central Kitsap narrowly slipped away with a 72-69 home win.

Central Kitsap’s Starr Rodenhurst dominated in the javelin with a mark of 132-05.
