Monday’s prep soccer highlights: Curtis beats Bethel on late PK, 1-0

Zack Ecklund’s penalty kick in the 71st minute lifted the Curtis High School boys soccer team to a 1-0 victory against Bethel on Monday in South Puget Sound League South action.

The Vikings (3-2-1 overall, 3-0-0 4A SPSL South) remain atop the division with the victory. Bethel fell to 0-3-1 overall and 0-2-0 in the 4A SPSL South.

Rogers 1, Emerald Ridge 0: An own goal cost the Jaguars against their cross-town rival in a 4A SPSL South match at Rogers High School.

Rams goalkeeper Parker Elliot earned the shutout.

Auburn Riverside 3, Enumclaw 0: Jordan Loomans scored a pair of goals and Brandon Gonzalez added another to lift the Ravens over the visiting Hornets in a 3A SPSL match.

Loomans scored in the 27th and 76th minutes – his second goal coming off an assist from Adrian Correa.
