Winner of The News Tribune’s Boys Athlete of the Week (Jan. 15 to 20)

Voting is now closed The News Tribune’s Boys Athlete of the Week for high school sports contests played Jan. 15-20. Thanks to everyone who voted and supported local student-athletes.

This week’s winner is:

Noah Kaylor, Curtis

The Vikings’ freshman scored 13 points off the bench in a road win over Sumner on Thursday.

Ray Adams, North Thurston — Posted a double-double with 20 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and five blocks in an overtime loss to Lincoln, posted another double-double with 22 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and five blocks in a win over Central Kitsap, and had 10 points and seven rebounds in a win over River Ridge.

Javon Barbee, Franklin Pierce — Scored 19 points and added eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals in a win over Steilacoom, and posted a double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds in a win over Foss.

Dalton Brown, Tahoma — Scored 21 points in a win over Olympia and 19 points in a win over Kentwood.

Adam Davis, Tahoma — Posted a double-double with 19 points, 12 rebounds and four assists in win over Kentwood on Tuesday.

Darrell Gipson, Timberline — Scored three points and added eight rebounds, three assists, six steals and four blocks in a win over River Ridge, scored 13 points and added nine rebounds, three assists and three steals in a win over Yelm, and posted a double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds in a win over Capital.

Amir Goins, Foss — Scored a team-high 19 points in loss to Franklin Pierce on Friday.

Jeremiah Harshman, Annie Wright — Scored 13 points in win over 4A Camas on Monday.

Noah Kaylor, Curtis — Scored 13 points off the bench in road win over Sumner on Thursday.

Matt Lindblom, Olympia — Scored a game-high 24 points in win over Rogers on Saturday, including 13 points in the fourth quarter.

Cooper Miller, Sumner — Scored a team-high 15 points in loss to Curtis on Thursday.

Isaiah Norris, Graham-Kapowsin — Scored a game-high 21 points in win over Rogers on Thursday.

Jaylen Petty, Auburn — Scored a game-high 32 points in win over Todd Beamer on Tuesday.

Te’Shawn Ports-Jackson, Lincoln — Scored a team-high 20 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, in win over Mount Tahoma on Wednesday.

Liam Sheeran, North Thurston — Scored 11 points and added three rebounds, three assists and four steals in a win over Central Kitsap, and posted a double-double with 19 points, 11 steals, six rebounds and six assists in a win over River Ridge.

Kenyon Simmons, Timberline — Scored 13 points and added five rebounds in a win over River Ridge, scored 11 points and added five rebounds, three assists and four steals in a win over Yelm, and had 17 points, nine rebounds and three steals in a win over Capital.

Andrew Vindivich, Stadium — Scored a team-high 11 points in fourth quarter in win over Jackson on Saturday.

Tre’ Walker, Mount Tahoma — Dropped a game-high 32 points on 12-of-24 shooting in loss to Lincoln on Wednesday.

Treyshawn Weatherspoon, Rogers — Paced the Rams with 22 points in loss to Olympia on Saturday and scored 18 points in loss to Graham-Kapowsin on Thursday.

Devin Whitten, Curtis — Scored a game-high 25 points in road win over Sumner on Thursday.
