Winner of The News Tribune’s Boys Athlete of the Week (Feb. 12 to 17)

Voting is now closed for The News Tribune’s Boys Athlete of the Week for high school sports contests played Feb. 12 to 17. Thanks to everyone who voted and supported local student-athletes.

This week’s winner is:

Tanner Wilson, Sumner swimming

He won the 100-yard breaststroke at the 4A state swim meet at the King County Aquatic Center on Saturday.

Ray Adams, North Thurston basketball — Scored 28 points, had 18 rebounds and six assists in win over Kelso in 3A District 3/4 semifinals on Thursday and 13 points in loss to Auburn in the championship game on Saturday.

Javon Barbee, Franklin Pierce basketball — Scored 28 points in win over Sequim in 2A district tournament on Thursday.

Omarion Boston, Lincoln basketball — Recorded a double-double with 14 points, 16 rebounds and six steals in win over Mount Tahoma in 3A District 3/4 tournament on Wednesday.

Dalton Brown, Tahoma basketball — Scored a game-high 29 points in a win over Kentwood in the 4A District 3/4 championship game.

Jesus Campos, Centralia wrestling — Won the 120-pound title in the 2A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Devan Carter, Graham-Kapowsin wrestling — Won the 165-pound title in the 4A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Adam Davis, Tahoma basketball — Scored 22 points, including the game-winning layup against Federal Way on Thursday and 10 in win over Kentwood in 4A District 3/4 championship game.

Bryan Dickerson, Orting wrestling — Won the 132-pound title in the 2A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Levi DiCugno, Orting wrestling — Won the 175-pound title in the 2A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Quentin Harding, Orting wrestling — Won the 138-pound title in the 2A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Jeremiah Harshman, Annie Wright basketball — Scored 18 points in win over Bellevue Christian in 1A district championship game on Saturday.

Stone Hartford, South Kitsap wrestling — Won the 144-pound title in the 4A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Daniel Herrera, Washington wrestling — Won the 106-pound title in the 2A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Grant Huston, Gig Harbor swimming — Won the 100 and 200-yard freestyle events at the 3A state swim meet at the King County Aquatic Center on Saturday.

Crew Lambro, Tahoma wrestling — Won the 106-pound title in the 4A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Jace Longmire, Auburn wrestling — Won the 138-pound title in the 3A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Ezekiel McEwen, Capital wrestling — Won the 175-pound title in the 3A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Cody Miller, Sumner wrestling — Won the 157-pound title, capping off an undefeated career in the 4A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Ronnell Parker-Borrero, Graham-Kapowsin wrestling — Won the 190-pound title in the 4A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Jaylen Petty, Auburn basketball — Scored 18 points in win over Todd Beamer in 3A District 3/4 semifinals on Thursday and 29 points in win over North Thurston in the championship game on Saturday.

William Ross, Lincoln wrestling — Won the 126-pound title in the 3A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Bryce Rowland, Auburn wrestling — Won the 144-pound title in the 3A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

A.J. Salguero, Orting wrestling — Won the 126-pound title in the 2A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Riley Simmons, White River wrestling — Won the 215-pound title in the 2A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Jonah Smith, Yelm wrestling — Won the 285-pound title in the 3A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Brandon Tagle, Kentwood basketball — Scored a game-high 19 points in 4A District 3/4 semifinal win on Thursday and 18 points in loss to Tahoma in the championship game on Saturday.

Dominic Thomas, Orting wrestling — Won the 113-pound title in the 2A boys Mat Classic XXXV state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday.

Mason Thomas, Federal Way basketball — Scored a game-high 26 points in loss to Tahoma on Thursday.

Tanner Wilson, Sumner swimming — Won the 100-yard breaststroke at the 4A state swim meet at the King County Aquatic Center on Saturday.
