Winner of The News Tribune’s Girls Athlete of the Week (Feb. 10 to 15)
Voting is now closed for The News Tribune’s Girls Athlete of the Week for contests played between Feb. 10-15. Thanks to everyone who voted and supported local student-athletes.
This week’s winner is:
Raymiah Jackson, Emerald Ridge basketball
The sophomore power forward posted 12-point, 10-rebound double-double in a district win over Bonney Lake, then dropped 17 points with eight boards in a winner-to-state playoff victory over Sumner.

Shayla Cordis, North Thurston basketball — The guard’s game-high 25 points pushed the Rams over Federal Way in Thursday’s district opener, stretching the South Sound’s longest active win streak to 23 games.
Malia Froemke, White River basketball — Hornets guard had game-high 26 points with four rebounds to lead White River over Silas in district opener, 80-41.
Avery Hansen, Auburn basketball — Scored 14 points in win over Tahoma to send the Trojans through to the district tournament semifinals.
Keleesa Howard, Auburn basketball — Scored 14 points in win over Tahoma to send the Trojans through to the district tournament semifinals.

Vivian Kingston, White River basketball — Senior forward posted 22-point, 11-rebound double-double in Thursday’s playoff win over Silas, 80-41.
Semaj Williams, Emerald Ridge basketball — Junior point guard dropped team-high 19 points with three triples in Thursday’s district playoff win over Bonney Lake.
