Manager Eric Wedge delivered his second State of the Seattle Mariners, and told the team that they are much further along than a year ago - with expectations for 2012 far greater.
"I told them last year set the foundaation, and that now they should expect more from themselves, their teammates and the team," Wedge said. "I told them I believed in them."
As for spring training, Wedge made it clear he wanted the Mariners to have fun but stay focused.
"I want them to be themselves, let their personalities out," Wedge said. "This camp is all about preparing to win, preparing to have a better team."
