None of the 15 Seattle Mariners players sent to minor league camp on Sunday were happy, but all of them took the news well - and Carlos Triunfel may have been the most professional.
Mariners manager Eric Wedge told each of the players to take the day off, then report to minor league camp today. Triunfel didn't want to wait, he wanted to work.
So immediately upon getting the news, the 22-year-old infielder reported to the minor league clubhouse, changed into a minor league uniform and took the field, joining his new teammates for batting practice.
Triunfel will likely start his season in Tacoma. Hard not to wish him well.
