And now, Mariners face the dreaded Tigers

A day off and an hour or so of early batting practice may be just what the Seattle Mariners need to shake themselves loose of their offensive doldrums - though it's hard to imagine playing the Detroit Tigers in Comerica Park will help.

Miguel Olivo is back behind the plate, but Justin Smoak has been replaced for a second game in a row by Alex Liddi at first base, and Muneori Kawasaki is at shortstop, not Brendan Ryan.
