A Mariners lineup & a fish story

Yes, the Seattle Mariners 10-game trip through Detroit, Toronto and Tampa ends with today's game, and win would leave the team 5-5 - not bad, considering they've lost five in a row.

Of course, that means winning today.

The Mariners ask Kevin Millwood to help make that happen, and manager Eric Wedge has another new lineup posted - one that has John Jaso catching for the first time in 27 games this season.

Chone Figgins is in, Brendan Ryan is out, Jesus Montero has the day off and Mike Carp returns.

And now, before you get the lineup: A fish story. Arranged to have first-timers Larry Stone (Seattle Times), Greg Johns (MLB.com) and Fernando Alcala (Mariners) visit the Rays tank here in Tropicana Field.

There, we were introduced to a few dozen cow-nosed rays in their swim tank, where fans - mostly kids and parents - come in throughout the game and feed and pet 'em. Stone was fascinated, Johns a bit hesitant and Fernando took video.

Me, I took a few photos, petted a few rays and managed not to get soaked. If you get to a game here, you've got to visit the rays tank. There's a net covering it so home run balls to right-center field don't conk-a-ray.

Now, here's the lineup:
