Felix goes for No. 14, and a Mariners lineup

Seattle Mariners ace Felix Hernandez makes his 28 start of the season today on natiional television, and may in fact be the only reason Fox wanted to televise this Mariners-Angels game.

A Cy Young Award candidate again at 26, Hernandez is 13-5 with a 2.43 earned run average, and among those wins are four 1-0 shutouts - and indication of how little margin for error he's had in 2012.

Behind him, outfielder Michael Saunders is down with a groin strain and likely won't play again until mid-week. Given tahat, Seattle recalled outfielder Carlos Peguero, who is on the bench, and right-handed pitcher Erasmo Ramirez, who is in the bullpen for now.

The Mariners face Ervin Santana, a righty capable of greatness - he's thrown a no-hitter - and spectacular failures (5.45 ERA). Here's the Seattle lineup:

Dustin Ackley      2BFranklin Gutierrez      CFKyle Seager          3BJohn Jaso            CJesus Montero           DHEric Thames         RFJustin Smoak        1BTrayvon Robinson   LF Brendan Ryan            SSFelix Hernandez         RHP
