Seattle Seahawks

Breaking down the Seahawks’ free agency

Seattle has about $21 million or so to spend under the 2015 salary cap — not counting whatever they decide to do about the contracts of Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner that expire after this year.

POTENTIAL TARGETS

Tramon Williams, CB, Green Bay: Would replace Maxwell but they may not need him after Blackmon signing.

Julius Thomas, TE, Denver: 12 TDs last season. But Jacksonville really wants.

Jordan Cameron, TE, Cleveland: Standout receiver and blocker. Has fit with Carroll before — six years ago at USC.

Brandon Browner, CB, New England: Original “Legion of Boom” member may become free agent if Pats decline contract option.

Cary Williams, CB, Philadelphia: One report has this Williams heading to Seattle.

Clint Boling, G, Cincinnati: Career starter could come “relatively” cheaply.

Terrance Knighton, DT, Denver: Brick wall may be too pricey.

Nick Fairley, DT, Detroit: Huge in middle. Smaller dent in pocketbook because of knock on motivation.

Andre Johnson, WR, Houston: Big, veteran wide receiver Seattle needs. But do they need a 33-year old there?

SEAHAWKS LEAVING

Byron Maxwell, CB: $50 million? $25M guaranteed? Eagles can have him at that crazy price.

Zach Miller, TE: Starter’s contract terminated Friday after failed physical.

Jesse Williams, DT: Aussie backup waived after missing all of last season on injured reserve.

Garrett Scott, T: Deep backup waived Friday.

SEATTLE’S UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS

James Carpenter, G: If team wanted inconsistent 2011 No. 1 pick back, it’d have re-signed him already.

Kevin Williams, DT: 12-year vet a revelation after Mebane injured in November.

Lemuel Jeanpierre, C-G: Injured last summer, re-signed, then Patrick Lewis beat him out for backup center.

Jeron Johnson, S: May stay because of depth issues among DBs.

Malcolm Smith, LB: Fast fall from Super Bowl MVP to bench in nine months.

O’Brien Schofield, DE: Summer pass-rush star didn’t do it last fall, winter.

Will Tukuafu, FB: Coaches like. Could return to pave more lanes for Lynch.

Other UFAs: Miller, LB Heath Farwell, QB Tarvaris Jackson, LS Clint Gresham, DT Demarcus Dobbs, G-C Steve Schilling, TE Tony Moeaki, DT Landon Cohen, DT D’Anthony Smith, WR-PR Bryan Walters.

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS

Seattle has right to first tender contract, then match any other offers:

Jermaine Kearse, WR: 2nd-round tender worth $2,356,000 means he’s staying.

Exclusive-rights Free Agents

Ricardo Lockette, WR: Undrafted, so tender will be 2nd rounder like Kearse, right of first refusal only — or nothing.

DeShawn Shead, S: Value to SEA may have gone up with injuries in secondary.

Other RFA: WR David Gilreath.
