Bears rookie K Robbie Gould beat out Seattle's Josh Brown as the top kicker in the NFC this season. He has made 28 of 32 attempts this season, or 87.5 percent. He has not attempted a kick of 50-plus yards, but the Bears have been outstanding on special teams. Brown has made 21 of 27 field-goal tries, including a league-leading four game-winners. Three of his misses had little or nothing to do with Brown (two breakdowns in protection, one breakdown related to the snap and hold). He has also made three of five from 50-plus yards. Gould and Brown have nearly identical numbers in terms of kickoff depth and touchbacks. Brown has a higher touchback percentage.
