Wow. The NFL is announcing its Pro Bowl rosters and according to the information here, Seattle is putting Lofa Tatupu, Julian Peterson, Walter Jones and Mack Strong in the 2007 Pro Bowl. There are more Seahawks (four) than Saints (three) on the NFC roster.
Tatupu makes the Pro Bowl this season? That is pretty incredible given what Seattle's defense has been through (No. 25 ranking in yards per rush allowed). He was more effective last season, but made it only as an alternate. This season he's voted in by coaches and players (he was not the leading vote-getter in fan balloting). That has to mean a lot to him.
Peterson was a pretty easy choice given his sack total and the obvious impact he has on games.
Jones has played well enough for long enough to get in there even when he isn't having a great season.
Strong has missed the Pro Bowl when playing better than he's playing this season, but there aren't a lot of traditional fullbacks out there any more. I'd rather see a traditional fullback get the honor instead of a fullback in name only.
Oh, almost forgot: Seattle put a fifth player in the Pro Bowl: Frank Gore of the 49ers.
