Linkage, November 5

Wow, not much to say about the loss. But it was frustrating to watch, particularly the short-yardage situations. It's gotten to the point, where you almost hope for an offsides penalty as the best chance for converting.

I don't know who the announcers were, but at this point I've come to realize there are so few good game announcers out there, it's useless to get frustrated.

Anyway, here's Frank's game story from today's paper. And here's Dave's column.

Shaun Alexander admits the Hawks' running game is broken. Bobby Engram is one player that is producing.

Let's go to the opponent's papers ...

From the Cleveland Plain Dealer, here's the game story Former Brown Brian Russell felt the Hawks let one get away. The win brought tight end Kellen Winslow to tears. Here's the game notebook, leading with the fourth down stop.

Columnist Bud Shaw wrote about Jamaal Lewis and his four TD night.

Columnist Terry Pluto writes about the return of a home-field advantage to Cleveland.

From the Akron Beacon Journal, here's the game story. Here's another story on Lewis. Here's the game notebook.

Columnist Patrick McManamon writes that the Browns have finally become a team.
