Seattle Seahawks free agent fullback Leonard Weaver appears close to making a decision on where he will play in 2009. Reports out of Minnesota and Tampa Bay indicate that Weaver is choosing between the Vikings, Bucs and Seattle.
Weaver indicated in a radio interview with KJR's Ian Furness last week that he desired to return to Seattle, but that the offer he received from the team was not what he expected. Now that the Seahawks have apparently freed up some salary cap space by trading linebacker Julian Peterson, we'll see if Seattle is willing to sweeten the pot to keep Weaver around.
Reports earlier last week also had Philadelphia interested in Weaver's services, but apparently the Eagles have cooled off since, according to a report from the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Wide receiver Bobby Engram remains on the market as well. Other than the trip to Kansas City, I haven't heard about other teams who are interested in Engram, and it still remains a possibility he could return to Seattle.
