Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles are interested in Seattle Seahawks free agent fullback Leonard Weaver, according to his agent Harold Lewis.
"We're still in talks with the Eagles, and with a few other teams," Lewis told the Daily News. "Hopefully, we're going to get something done [in Philadelphia], but it would be premature to tell you that."
St. Louis, Tampa Bay and New Orleans have shown interest in Weaver, but the 26-year-old is reportedly asking more than teams are willing to pay for a fullback.
Seattle had fullback Justin Griffith in for a visit last week. The Raider fullback played for Seattle offensive coordinator Greg Knapp while in Oakland, so he would be a possible replacement for Weaver, along with Owen Schmitt.
