The Seattle Seahawks apparently have cleared the way for the arrival of Edgerrin James by releasing running back T.J. Duckett, according to a report from ProFootballTalk.com.
Duckett was Seattle's short yardage back last season, but was expected to play an expanded role with the team.
The Seahawks paid Duckett a $2 million signing bonus in 2008. Duckett's scheduled to earn $2.5 million in 2009.
