The Seahawks go into halftime up 17-7. A pretty good half of play for Seattle. Here's some initial thoughts.
* I think WR Ben Obomanu locked down the fifth receiver spot with his 38-yard touchdown catch just before the half. He's also been sure-handed on punt reuturns.
*Jordan Kent was unable to make a play on either throw that came his way. He might be on the outside looking in come Saturday.
* Aaron Curry came to play tonight. A sack and forced fumble and four tackles in the first half. This is what the Seahawks expected when they drafted him fourth overall.

* Rookies Nick Reed and Michael Bennett continue to impress. Reed finished with two tackles and two assist, and also picked up a fumble and returned it 16 yards after a Curry sack and forced fumble.
Bennett also had an impact, finishing with a sack, a fumble recovery on a sack by Derek Walker and Lawrence Jackson and a quarterback hurry. Baraka Aktins also has been in the mix, finishing with 3 tackles.
* Olindo Mare made both extra points and put all three kickoffs well into the end zone, with two of those for touch backs. Mare may have sealed it with his performance on kickoffs. He also made a chip shot from 24 yards.
*Deon Butler put on a show, finishing with two catches for 45 yards, including a 23-yard touchdown pass to give Seattle a 7-0 lead to start the game. However, Butler still is struggling on punt returns.
