We should receive work on the Seattle Seahawks final cuts sometime this afternoon, and I’ll post them immediately on the blog when I receive them. But I thought I would post a few links on some of the scuttlebutt involving Seattle around the league this morning.
My story today takes a look at some of the key positions the team will be focusing on in making the final cuts.
I think Seattle could keep 10 defensive linemen, keeping Michael Bennett and Nick Reed on the active roster. I also think they could keep just five WR, with Ben Obomanu being the fifth guy. I think they will keep seven LBs, with Lance Laury being the seventh guy.
And I also believe they will keep four cornerbacks, with either Kevin Hobbs or Travis Fisher being the fourth corner.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported earlier via twitter that wide receiver Deion Branch is one of Seattle’s players on the bubble.
However, Sports Illustrated’s Peter King is reporting via twitter that Branch is safe and the team’s entire draft class will be kept. Still to be determined is how many of those draft picks will be on the active roster, and how many will be put on waivers in order to try and get them on the practice squad.
ESPN’s John Clayton previously said that Branch possibly could get traded, but will not be cut.
Clayton and ESPN’s Mike Sando talk about some of things happening in the NFC West, along with possible moves by the Seahawks in this audio link. The conversation begins about 17 minutes in.
