Jason La Confora of NFL.com and Jason Reid of the Washington Post are reporting that Washington Redskins secondary coach Jerry Gray has received permission from the team to interview for the Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator position.
Gray is the candidate Washington interviewed before Jim Zorn was let go as the team's head coach in order to satisfy the Rooney Rule. Gray also interviewed for Washington's defensive coordinator position, but Jim Haslett was hired instead.
According to the reports, Gray would like to stay in Washington, but does not know what his status will be with Mike Shanahan taking over as the team's head coach.
Also, La Confora is reporting that current Seahawks defensive line coach Dan Quinn is being considered for the position as well, and there's a possibility there could be co-coordinators.
