Seahawks snap counts from win over Oakland; TNT day-after chat 1pm PT today

Here are the snap counts from yesterday's Seahawks win over Oakland. Notice how much more Paul Richardson played. Fullback Will Tukuafu is going to get more than 12 snaps in the coming games, methinks.

On defense, you can essentially break down the amount of time Seattle was in nickel, five defensive backs, by the percentages for middle linebacker Brock Coyle and nickel back Marcus Burley. This appears to be one of the only times this season Seattle was in base and not nickel a majority of the time -- Coyle was coming out in nickel packages -- which is interesting given no team in the NFL runs the ball less than Oakland. The Raiders called 42 pass plays and 18 runs.

Burley, by the way, has earned an increased role in the defense even after Jeremy Lane comes off the injured-reserve list with a designation to return for Sunday's game against the New York Giants in Seattle. Burley, the revelation since the Seahawks traded a sixth-round draft choice to Indianapolis for him on the final cut day Aug. 30, was again aggressive on the ball inside yesterday.
