Marshawn Lynch is back on the field, as expected, as the Seahawks return to practice this morning after having Monday off.
Lynch spent the early part of practice talking with teammates such as Russell Wilson and jogging through a few handoffs, a day after the Bellevue Police Department released a statement that the star running back was under investigation following an alleged assault in that Seattle suburb early Sunday.
Coach Pete Carroll said on Sunday that Lynch was looking great physically and that the coach would decide late this week when Lynch might make his exhibition-game debut for 2014. The Seahawks host the San Diego Chargers on Friday in their second of four preseason games.
Max Unger is back practicing with his offensive linemen, as Carroll had expected, though I won't see to what extent until the team portion of scrimmaging near the end of practice around noon. The starting center was out from last Wednesday through Sunday with a groin injury.
Starting left tackle Russell Okung and starting left guard James Carpenter are also back practicing, as they have been since last week. Both missed last week's exhibition opener at Denver, as did Unger.
