Morning Links: Is Michael's chance here?

Good morning from training camp.

Marshawn Lynch's holdout gives Christine Michael and Robert Turbin plenty of practice carries.

Much of the intrigue surrounds Michael, who appears a dynamic runner in low-leverage (practice, preseason and blowout) situations. He had a trio of issues last season keeping him from the field: His blocking was subpar; he did not play special teams; and there were questions about his maturity level.

Michael has worked on each. He said Friday he's ready to play any portion of special teams asked of him, whether that is coverage or blocking. He also said he's learned. A lot.

"Just taking my time with game," Michael said. "Learning the game. Studying more film. Asking more questions. Taking better notes and becoming an overall pro; still trying to become an even better pro, man.

"Learning what the offensive linemen are doing. Different checks and just learn the whole offense."

Pass blocking?

"I'm currently  working on that and that's my biggest thing," Michael said. "If I had to pick one thing in my game to work on, it would be pass blocking. I've been studying more film. I know who I'm blocking now, I know what to block, I know the different defensive schemes. Now, just ready to go out there and show it, prove it."

Michael said last year was not tough, but rather a new experience.

"Just learn as much as I can and contribute to this amazing offense, this amazing team," Michael said.

So, lots of Michael -- who constantly answered with "Yes, sir," not the typical way media is addressed -- saying the right things.

Unfortunately, Robert Turbin wasn't available yesterday. Obviously, he's part of the equation. I'm hoping to chat with Turbin today or tomorrow.

Lynch was not listed on new Seahawks official roster today. He’s on reserve/did not report list, giving the Seahawks a roster exemption.

I wrote about Lynch being out and the running back situation as a whole.

Our Dave Boling says even without Lynch, the Seahawks will be fine.

Also some notes rounding up the injuries.

Also, the Seahawks have waived/injured Dewayne Cherrington and signed LB Brandon Denmark and S Steven Terrell, team announced this morning.
