Quick practice notes

Quick notes off practice.

DT Jessie Williams was carted off after appearing to injure a knee in one-on-one pass rushing drills. He was making a move against C.J. Davis and it looked as if he hyperextended his knee. Williams had worked hard to come back off the knee problems that sidelined him last season. There was no early word from the team on his status, and Pete Carroll didn't talk, so we have nothing official yet.

Wagner, Carpenter, Bowie,Richardson and Kearse were some of those out today, with Norwood returning after a couple days off with a foot issue.

Hauschka kicked a 58-yard field goal.

Baldwin and Bryan Walters each had big plays in Red Zone sessions. Walters' diving sideline catch for a touchdown from Russell Wilson was the play of the day, although the official there might have been a little generous on the call. Thankfully, there's no instant replay in practice.

Percy Harvin ran a fly sweep with such speed he seemed to leave a vapor trail in his wake. As we saw in limited time last season, it's a play that will be a nightmare for defenses, and will be a great set-up action for other plays off it.

Luke Willson has gone from being a blocking liability to being pretty solid. He did a nice job sealing the edge on a touchdown run in the Red Zone.

DC Dan Quinn talked about the solid play of rookie free agent Brock Coyle, who was filling in at middle linebacker with bobby Wagner nursing a hamstring.  DQ said Jordan Hill really improved his strength, and he's loved the versatility of Greg Scruggs as an early down DE and an inside tackle in the nickel.

Darrell Bevell said the injury to Anthony McCoy (Achilles of unannounced severity) "is a big blow for him … we felt horrible for him."
