Seahawks re-sign O'Brien Schofield

UPDATE: The Seahawks have officially announced the signing of Schofield.

According to O'Brien Schofield's Twitter account, he has re-signed with the Seahawks.

Schofield had left as a free agent and signed a two-year, $8 million deal with the New York Giants, that was later voided because of a failed physical. He had recovered from an ACL tear in 2010.

A defensive end/linebacker, Schofield was used a lot in the  Super Bowl, playing early as a rush end and staying on the field for much of the game. Though, he was inactive for the NFC title game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Schofield had eight total tackles in 15 games last season with the Seahawks.

Schofield's return means Michael Robinson is the only remaining Seattle free agent without home. He appears heading toward retirement.
