The Seahawks announced Monday that they signed fourth-round pick and defensive end Cassius Marsh, tight end Rashaun Allen and guard Nate Isles.
They terminated the contract of tight end Travis Beckum -- who was signed to a 2014 future contract in February -- and released cornerback Jimmy Legree. Legree signed as an undrafted free agent following the draft.
Allen and Isles took part in rookie minicamp.Allen, 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, is out of Southern University and caught a touchdown during minicamp. His Pro Day in Baton Rouge turned heads, according to WBRZ.com. From WBRZ:
The Cleveland, Ohio native benched 225 pounds 24 times, posted a 39-inch vertical leap, and ran a 4.6-40 yard dash at 250 pounds to impress scouts, coaches and teammates.
I'm always skeptical of small-school Pro Day numbers reported by televisions stations, so I'll take those digits with a grain of salt. What is clear, is that the Seahawks liked him enough after a few minicamp practices to keep him around a while longer.
Isles is a 6-foot-5, 348-pound guard out of North Carolina A&T. He's played right tackle in the past, in addition to guard.
