Not a lot happening out there over the weekend. This coming week, we should be moving toward more news. The franchise tag deadline is Monday at 1 p.m. Seahawks general manager John Schneider said at the combine he does not expect to use the franchise tag this season.
March 8 is when official talking is allowed:
Clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into contract negotiations with, the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2013 Player Contracts at 1 p.m. March 11. However, a contract cannot be executed with a new club until 1 p.m. March 11.
Until then, not much will be happening.
