Tweet Link: Clark says he visited Seattle

The Seahawks appeared to have a visitor this week in free safety Ryan Clark.[HTML1]Clark played the last eight seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers, went to the Pro Bowl in 2011-12 season (as a replacement for Ed Reed) and was part of the Steelers team that won Super Bowl XLIII.

In the last six seasons, Clark has played at least 14 games per year. He has played 13 NFL seasons since being signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Giants in 2002 after a good career at LSU.

The Seahawks lost backup free safety Chris Maragos to free agency. Maragos had a large special teams role, something Clark has done a lot of in the past.

Jeron Johnson re-signed as the backup strong safety. DeShawn Shead can play safety and cornerback, as well.
