We touched on this this morning, but to reiterate: There were various reports Sunday that Marshawn Lynch was fined $50,000 by the NFL for not talking to the media all season prior to last Friday. ESPN first reported the fine.
A league spokesperson told USA Today that they were unaware until last week that Lynch had not been talking all season.
Players are contractually obligated to speak with the media. The typical expectation is that they are available twice a week during the season: after the game and once during the week leading up to the game.
