Seahawks 23, Saints 15: Postgame reaction thread

Cliff Avril, O'Brien Schofield, Clinton McDonald

The quest continues.

After a rain-soaked and wind-rattled 23-15 win over the New Orleans Saints on Saturday at CenturyLink Field, the Seattle Seahawks will return to the NFC Championship game for the first time since 2006.

It was another smothering performance from Seattle’s defense for most of the game against Drew Brees and the Saints, whom the Seahawks rolled over 34-7 in Week 12 on Monday Night Football.

Seattle's offense struggled, as it has for the past few games, but the weather conditions were less than ideal. Marshawn Lynch broke out with a big game, punctuating it with a 31-yard touchdown run to effectively ice the victory. The Saints scored a late touchdown and got the onside kick, but time ran out and the Seahawks survived.

Seattle will face the winner of Sunday’s San Francisco/Carolina divisional game that starts at 10:05 a.m.. The Seahawks recorded a 12-7 win over the Panthers in Week One and split its two games with the rival 49ers this season (29-3 win in Seattle and 19-17 loss in San Francisco).

The Seahawks will get an extra day of rest, which could benefit star receiver Percy Harvin who left the game with a concussion after catching three passes. Seattle will return to the friendly confines of its home stadium next Sunday for a chance to advance to the franchise’s second Super Bowl.

In the meantime, and feeling the afterglow of a playoff victory, let’s get to some questions:

1. Who gets the game ball? Who was the goat?

2. What impressed you the most from the Seahawks’ gameplan?

3. Percy Harvin showed glimpses again, hopes for next week?

4. Which part of this team concerns you the most moving forward?

5. Panthers or Niners? Which rematch do you want to see most and why?

Please, answer these questions and drop any other knowledge on the Seahawks in the comment section below.
