Another player the Seattle Seahawks dumped on the trash heap has been dusted off and claimed by an NFL team.
The New York Jets, led by former Seahawks cap guy John Idzik, announced that the team has signed quarterback Brady Quinn.
Quinn lost the backup job in Seattle to Tarvaris Jackson. However, with Mark Sanchez's availability in question because of a shoulder injury, and rookie Geno Smith struggling during preseason play, Quinn is a viable option for the Jets once he gets up to speed and learns the offense.
Rich Cimini of ESPN New York says Quinn's arrival doesn't bode well for the long-term prospects of Sanzchez sticking around.
