Morning links: Carroll goes to Olympia

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll headed south on I-5 to Olympia to visit the state Capitol on Wednesday.

Carroll’s agenda included a brief meeting with Gov. Jay Inslee, along with state lawmakers, asking them for state funding to help expand a youth outreach program he heads, A Better Seattle.

“I’m fired up about our football team, but we’re here for a different reason today,” Carroll said. “We’re hoping to continue to spread the message and save some lives and save some families.”
