The Seahawks announced that offensive lineman James carpenter has been placed on the reserve/non-football illness list for the remainder of the season.
Seattle head coach Pete Carroll told reporters on Monday that Carpenter re-injured his surgically repaired knee during last week’s Chicago game on the opening series. However, Carroll also indicated that he believed Carpenter did not suffer a major injury.
John Moffitt and rookie J.R. Sweezy are slated to compete for the left guard spot with Carpenter out, Carroll said on Monday.
The Seahawks added offensive lineman Rishaw Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster to bolster the depth on the offensive line.
