The Seattle Seahawks officially placed wide receiver Deon Butler on injured reserve and used his vacant roster spot to sign guard Paul Fanaika from the Cleveland's practice squad to the active roster.
Fanaika was drafted by Philadelphia in the seventh-round of the 2009 draft, spending his first 11 weeks on the Eagles practice squad before being signed to the Washington Redskins active roster on November 23.
Fanaika signed with the Browns on June 15. Seattle now has 11 offensive lineman on the active roster and only five receivers, so the moves makes it likely that both Mike Williams and Ben Obomanu will play on Sunday.
