Just a few hours after Seattle Seahawks head coach said he gave Deion Branch a personal day off, ESPN's Adam Schefter is now reporting that Branch has been dealt to New England for a fourth round selection.
UPDATE: The Seahawks confirmed the deal this evening.
No word yet of how much money the Seahawks will have to throw for the Patriots to take on Branch's salary. Branch was due to make $5.45 million in base salary this season and nearly $6 million next year in the final year of his deal.
So that's anti-climatic end to the veteran receiver's time in Seattle. The Seahawks gave up a first round pick in 2005 to get him, and now are receiving a fourth-round pick from the same team to ship him out.
